Position Overview

Responsible for managing and maintaining the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environment, ensuring infrastructure stability, security, and continuous improvement. This position will also be responsible for corporate IT operations and vendor management for hardware and IT services, supporting service continuity and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Manage instances in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including provisioning, resizing (CPU and memory scale up/down), termination, and scheduled shutdowns;

  • Manage virtual networks in OCI (VCN, subnets, security lists, NAT/Internet Gateways) and firewall rules;

  • Manage identities and access controls (IAM/policies, MFA, groups, and compartments) following the principle of least privilege;

  • Monitor the performance, availability, and capacity of the environment (CPU, memory, storage, network) and take preventive action;

  • Perform backup and snapshot routines and disaster recovery testing;

  • Monitor and optimize cloud costs (FinOps), including billing analysis, identification of idle resources, and cost-reduction recommendations;

  • Keep technical documentation, runbooks, and architecture diagrams up to date;

  • Automate operational tasks using scripts (Shell, Python) and, preferably, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / OCI Resource Manager);

  • Support the team with infrastructure-related N2/N3 incidents and requests;

  • Manage the lifecycle of the company's IT equipment (laptops, desktops, peripherals), including inventory control, allocation, returns, maintenance, and disposal;

  • Manage and negotiate with hardware and IT service providers, including quotations, contracts, SLAs, renewals, warranties, and technical support;

  • Support compliance, auditing, and information security processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree completed or in progress in IT, Networking, Computer Science, or related fields;

  • Previous experience managing cloud environments (ideally OCI; AWS or Azure experience is also welcome, with a willingness to transfer this knowledge to OCI);

  • Solid knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewall, routing);

  • Experience administering Linux and Windows Server systems;

  • Experience managing IT vendors and contracts;

  • Strong written communication skills and good organizational skills for technical documentation.

The following skills are not mandatory, but having them will make us an even better match!

  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) certification (OCI Foundations, Architect Associate, or Operations);

  • Experience with Terraform or another IaC tool;

  • Knowledge of monitoring tools (Zabbix, Grafana, OCI Monitoring);

  • Technical English for reading documentation.
